Sleeping Buffalo Resort, MT
Fed by a 3,500 foot deep hot water well, Sleeping Buffalo is the only mineral water resort in the Montana Highline prairie country. Sadly, half the facility is currently unusable due to disrepair including the golf course, water slides and outdoor pool, and the remaining structures are rather dilapidated. Nevertheless, the indoor pools are still used by a loyal group of regulars and the lodge, cafe and bar are frequented by hunters and fisherman. Nearby Nelson Reservoir produces record class walleye, yellow perch, and northern pike and is a popular ice-fishing spot in the winter.
